Software / driver issues

Our well informed sources have confirmed that Intel's highly anticipated graphics project codenamed Larrabee will be delayed to 2010. The original timeframe was late 2009, but we are very certain that it won’t find its way to retail shelves or OEM systems in this year.

It all indicates that the project will launch in 2010, most likely in 1H of 2010 if we don't see any further delays and we've heard that software support and drivers are the number one reason of this delay.

Intel is still committed and serious about the discrete graphics / computation chip based on X86 instructions, and sooner or later we are sure that they will get things right and put a lot of pressure on Nvidia and ATI to try even harder.
