Are we there yet?

Just
like the rest of the tech world, the guys from Donanimhaber didn’t manage to escape the Fermi hype, and now the site managed to get their paws on pictures of Zotac’s and MSI’s GTX 480 cards, with the later one being dubbed the N480GTX in MSI’s style.

The GTX 480 comes clocked at 700MHz GPU, 1848MHz memory and 1401MHz for the shaders. The memory bus is 384-bit, which should go well with 1536MB of GDDR5 memory. As we already said before, the card’s TDP stands at 250W.

Both cards seem to be reference designs, with stickers and logos the only thing telling them apart, although MSI's card brags about over-voltage possibilities that would boost your GPU by 15%. It's well worth noting that MSI seems to have been more conservative in their overvoltaging limits, as Asus boasts this performance boost to be up to 50%, which we refuse to believe until we see it.

Availability dates are still “unknown”, which is no wonder seeing how Nvidia handles its reins lately.

You can find pictures of MSI’s card here and Zotac’s here.
