Games Convention 08: Same as Gainward's

We had
a chance to take a picture of Palit's non-reference dual BIOS HD 4870 card, the HD 4870 Sonic.

The new card has the same specifications and design as the Gainward's HD 4870 Golden Sample. The card works at 775MHz for the GPU and comes with 512MB of GDDR5 memory clocked at 1,000MHz (4.0GHz effective).

The new Sonic is a dual slot card cooled by two fans, the 80mm and the 70mm one. The 80mm is in charge of cooling the GPU and the memory, while the 70mm blows directly over the card's VRM part.

The backplate has two DVI ports, one DisplayPort and a small switch that is used for switching between two BIOS. This is how it looks.
