HD 7750, HD 7770 and HD 7850 gets PE monicker

MSI has rolled out three new R7000 Power Edition series graphics cards including the R7850 Power Edition, R7770 Power Edition as well as R7750 Power Edition. The entire series will be launched as a plain and OC version and feature MSI's Triple Overvoltage, improved VRM with additional overclocking potential and a custom cooling solution.

The lineup kicks off with the MSI R7850 Power Edition 2DG5(/OC) graphics card that features no lees than the new Twin Frozr IV cooler recently seen on the MSI R7970 Lightning graphics card. The cooler should provide up to 22C lower temperatures and should be 11bB quieter when compared to the reference card. The plain version of the R7850 ended up clocked at 860MHz for the GPU and 4800MHz for 2GB of GDDR5 memory paired up with a 256-bit memory interface while the OC version ended up at 950MHz for the GPU.

The R7770 and the R7750 Power Edition graphics cards are a bit different as MSI decided to go for a rather unique cooling solution that features an optional fan that can be attached in case you want more airflow and higher cooling potential. The R7770 Power Edition can be put to work in dual fan mode while the R7750 Power Edition gets a double airflow mode, just as you can see from the picture below.

As far as the specs go, the R7770 Power Edition works at 1000MHz (1100MHz OC version) for the GPU and 4500MHz for 1GB of GDDR5 memory paired up with a 128-bit memory interface while the R7750 Power Edition ended up working at 800MHz (900MHz OC version) and features the identical memory as the R7770.

Unfortunately, MSI didn't shed any details regarding the price or the actual availability date.
