Nvidia RTX Super series confirmed for July 2nd

RTX 2080 Super and custom cards come at a later date

Nvidia has confirmed the announcement and NDA dates of its Geforce RTX Super series graphics cards and according to an online report, the RTX 2060 Super and RTX 2070 Super will launch on July 2nd, while RTX 2080 Super comes later in July.

According to a report from Videocardz.com, Nvidia has set the review NDA date for RTX 2060 Super and RTX 2070 Super for July 2nd and although there is no confirmation if these will be available from day one, we suspect that Nvidia could have them on retail/e-tail shelves pretty soon, depending on the region of course.

The July 2nd review NDA date is only for Nvidia Founders Edition version while reviews of custom versions from Nvidia AIC partners should come on July 9th.

The RTX 2080 Super, which is in a league of its own, will come "later in July", but unfortunately, there is no precise date.

Nvidia is obviously keeping the price well hidden and we probably won't hear it until the last moment but something tells us they want to rain on AMD's Navi parade, so hopefully, it will be a pleasant surprise. Of course, it is highly likely that we will see price cuts across Nvidia current (non-Super) RTX lineup.

Previous rumors regarding specifications were pretty much on the mark, with higher CUDA cores across the range, faster memory, and 8GB of GDDR6 memory for the RTX 2060 Super.
