AMD releases new driver optimized for The Last of Us Part I


No need for it unless you are playing that game

AMD has decided to update the graphics driver a bit early to fix some of the performance issues seen with Naughty Dog's The Last of Us Part I game.

The new AMD graphics driver does not include any fixes other than said game optimizations. AMD will probably release the new 23.4.1 driver early next month, which should bring further fixes and optimizations. AMD has already distributed the same driver to the press.

AMD is bundling The Last of Us Part I with its Radeon RX 7000 and RX 6000 series graphics cards so it does not come as a surprise that it came up with a driver update.

The Last of Us Part I port to PC has been plagued by numerous issues and the first patch is already out.

You can find the new AMD driver over on the support page, and the patch for the game is available on Steam.
