Could not get Henry Richard's job

We have a new addition to our inside AMD HQ stories and this time we can tell you why the highest ranked ATI chap in AMD decided to go.

The story is quite simple, Rich Hegberd became Vice president of Sales at AMD and Henry Richard was his boss. Once Henry departed Hegberg learned that he won't become the next Executive sales and marketing VP and he decided to go. We previously said that Hector really fancies Motorola people over ATI's chaps and there's nothing they can do about it.

There is a rumor that Dave Orton together with some other high profile ATI chaps plans to form a graphics start up soon, but we still haven't been able to confirm this very intriguing rumor.
