SSD drives now with SATA

Super talent has updated their offer of Solid State Disk Drives with new SATA interfaces. The new SSD drives comes in 1.8-inch, 2.5-inch, and 3.5-inch format. They will be available in capacities of 32GB, 64GB and 128GB respectively.

Compared to conventional magnetic drives their advantage is: rugged design with no moving parts, ultra low power consumption, silent operation and fast access time.

Price per GB will be also lower than first generation of drives and max sustained read/write speed is now 28MB/sec. Pricing to be released in April and that is when we expect to get some review units.
