Corsair has updated its Force Series SSD lineup with a new premium product that will be selling under the Force Series GT name. Featuring the Sandforce SF-2280 controller and SATA 6Gbps interface, the Force GT will be available in 60 and 120GB capacities and have an impressive transfer speeds.

The Force GT features the top notch SF-2280 controller and can deliver read and write speeds of up to 555MB/s and 525MB/s. The random 4k read performance peaks at 85,000 IOPS. As noted, the Force GT lineup will be available in 60 and 120GB while the 240GB model is expected to come at a later date.

As a part of Corsair's Force GT series, the new SSD comes packed in a red 2.5-inch case and will ship with a 3.5-inch adapter.

Both the 60 and the 120GB models should be available during this month with a price tag set at US $149 and US $279.
