Some good news for a change

Despite the major economic downturn, which seems to be hitting every single sector these days, HTC has just reported that they've turned in a record profit for the month of November, thanks to increases in sales of its Diamond devices as well as the G1 handset.

According to Digitimes, HTC made US$528.57 million in November; that's a year on year increase of 22.1 percent, which is no small increase considering the current economic climate. HTC is close to hitting its total sales target for 2008, and due to their success in November, December sales only need to reach US$423 million.

However, it doesn't seem like HTC is too optimistic as the company isn't expecting to breaking their sales targets for the year and as such have no plans on increase its sales target which is currently set at US$143 million.
