Both AT&T & T-Mobile to get it

The updates on the upcoming release of the BlackBerry 9700 have starting to heat up, with our sources telling us the U.S. carriers T-Mobile and AT&T will both be getting the 9700 and it will arrive in November.

The latest is that an official announcement will come around late October and it should be on dealer shelves in early November. From the latest we are hearing, T-Mobile will likely have it in stock on November 11th, while AT&T’s actual in-stock release date is still a bit hazy; but we do suspect that they will have it before the end of November.

Many BlackBerry fans in the U.S. are eager to get their hands on the 9700, as it will be the next BlackBerry to offer 3G support as well as the new track pad and version 5 of the BlackBerry OS that everyone seems to be talking about.

Our sources tell us that AT&T’s plans are in a bit more flux than T-Mobile, as we hear rumors that the 9700 has not yet completed all of the technical acceptance testing and it is still undergoing a few revisions prior to launch. We suspect that we should hear a bit more in the next week or so as the exact date for AT&T firms up, but we do think the T-Mobile date is now pretty much locked in.
