Xperia S gets PlayStation Store

by on14 March 2012

14 PS One titles in tow

Sony’s has added PlayStation Store support to its new flagship Xperia S handset, which we tested a couple of weeks back and found to be one of the best Android handsets on the market.

The store can be accessed by allowing non-Android Market apps and launching an installer from the phone’s app tray. Sony is currently offering 14 PlayStation One games on the store and “new” titles should be on the way.

All titles are priced at £3.99 in the UK, so they don’t come cheap. Still, playing PS1 games will probably bring back fond memories, at least for the generation that used to rewind audio cassettes with pencils.
