More LG Nexus details, pics leaked

by on10 October 2012

Nothing to see here move along

A new LG Nexus leak has appeared on XDA forums and the first proper photos of the new phone are in.

Basically it looks nothing like the LG Optimus G and from the front it shares a lot of design DNA with its predecessor, Samsung’s Galaxy Nexus. The back features a glossy finish with what appears to be a subtle texture underneath. It is by no means spectacular and it seems to be the first Nexus since HTC’s 2009 effort to feature a flat screen rather than a curved one.

The spec is pretty impressive. As expected, we are looking at a quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro, 2GB of RAM and a 4.7-inch 1280x768 screen, along with an 8-megapixel camera. However, for some reason the leaked device features just 8GB of internal storage, sans microSD.

The last two Nexus generations shipped with 16GB, so this is pretty surprising, but we are quite confident that 16GB and perhaps even 32GB versions will be on offer. We see no point in even offering an 8GB option in this day and age, given record low NAND prices.
