HTC One gold available in Europe

by on25 November 2013

At least for German speaking countries

Apple created a lot of buzz with its golden iPhone 5S and naturally some other manufacturers want to steal a piece of that hype. Apparently there are a lot of Bond villains living in hollowed out volcanoes and fashionistas out there.

The most expensive looking Android phone on market, the HTC One that usually comes in silver, black and some countries as red and blue, is now coming to Europe clad in gold. The press release we saw claims that the phone is limited to Germany, Austria and Switzerland (DACH) countries but we assume that it might show up in other territories. We just don’t know at this point.

Other than a new coat of paint, the phone is just a plain HTC One that was launched some six months ago. It will have the same hardware and software, no gold on the software side. The next big thing coming from HTC the M8 that we expect to see at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona (or close to this late February event ed. ).

However, the gold HTC One might be a good choice for gold lovers who want something bigger than an iPhone and with a 4.7-inch screen the HTC One Gold has plenty of screen acreage to offer.
