by on05 July 2016

It starts at $199 + Vernee Thor for $99

Vernee is a new phone brand from China and the company is among the first to use the three cluster 10 core Helio X20 processor, and now you can buy the thing for $199.99.  You can keep the extra cent.

Vernee lite is a 5.5 inch phone with a Helio X20, MTK6797 processor that comes with three clusters and a total of 10 cores.  As many know by now, the Cortex A72 cores work up to 2.3Ghz while the remaining two quad core clusters with Cortex-A53 speed along at 1.85 GHz and 1.4 GHz. We have been waiting for this phone to start selling since its introduction in April. The only Helio X20 that started selling just two weeks ago is the LeEco Le2 Pro.

The Vernee lite phone has 4GB RAM and 32GB ROM, and a 16-megapixel camera as well as a USB type-C connector. The phone supports fast charging and FDD-LTE 800 / 1800 / 2100 / 2600MHz frequencies. Like many others, this is a dual SIM phone and other SIMs can be used for the microSD storage. Geekbuying has an exclusive deal on sales and offers this phone for  $199. The same shop is offering this phone together with leather flip cover and tempered glass screen for $209, and the promotion for this phone starts on July 8th.

The second phone that goes on sale tomorrow is based on an MTK6753 octa-core and it is called Vernee Thor. This 4G LTE phone with 5 inch HD screen will sell for $100 minus one cent. Last year we tested a few MTK6753 octa-core phones and they performed really well. Now this technology is available for $100 minus one cent. This phone comes with Android 6.0 out of the box, 3GB RAM and 16GB storage as well as a 5-megapixel camera. The promotion is limited to 50 pieces. Currently the same phone sells for $241.99.

The  phone is being offered with a leather case in dark blue,  A tempered glass screen protector for $109.99 but beware, there will be only 50 of these package deals offered. Both phones sounds like bargains, as even the less expensive model will be enough for the casual Android user and for everyday tasks. More demanding users will be more than satisfied with  the Helio X20 powered Vernee lite phone as this will match the performance of much more expensive models.
