Supports up to 1333 FSB

We dug up a few more details about Intel P35 board and we confirmed that at least a few vendors will show the boards powered on this chipset at Cebit. The boards will be based at Intel P35 + ICH9R (Bearlake-P) Northbridge and Southbridge.

They will support all Intel CPUs up to Quad core ones as the chipset supports all Pentium, Celeron and Core 2 Duo CPUs with FSB 800, 1066 or 1333. You can only plug socket 775 CPUs I P35 board.

Depending on the vendor there will be DDR 3 or DDR 2 versions of the board and both will have four slots for four memory modules. This usually means that the board supports up to 8 GB memory.

Some of the boards will comes with single PCIe 16X connector, one PCIe 1X, one PCIe 4X connector and two to three PCI slots.

ICH9R supports up to six S-ATA II ports with up to 300MB/s bandwidth from and RAID 0,1,5,10. A standard board will support up to twelve USB 2.0 ports, six from the chipset and six from the external chip.

A lot of board announcement is expected on Thursday when the Cebit starts but we might have a few more details sooner.
