Got everything you'd expect

Gigabyte has launched its GA-MA770-DS3 board, which is based on the AMD 770 chipset, and it comes with all the usual features you'd expect to find on a mid-range motherboard. The DS3 name suggests that it's part of Gigabyte's Ultra Durable series; which means that it uses all solid capacitors.

It supports the new Phenom processors and has four memory slots for DDR2 memory at speeds of up to 1066MHz with the right processor. It has a single x16 PCIe 2.0 slot, four x1 PCIe slots and two PCI slots. The chipset is passively cooled by a rather small heatsink, and so is the Southbridge.

Feature-wise, you're looking at four SATA ports due to the limitations of the SB600 Southbridge, one IDE connector, Gigabit Ethernet, 7.1-channel HD audio with optical and coaxial S/PDIF out, six rear USB 2.0 ports with two headers for four more ports, and two rear FireWire ports.

Not bad, but nothing out of the ordinary. You can find the product page here
