MSI has announced its lineup of motherboards based on AMD's latest 790GX chipset. MSI will have total of three boards based on this design, the DKA790GX Platinum, DKA790GX and the entry level KA790GX.

MSI's top offer, branded MSI DKA790GX Platinum, will feature the Radeon HD 3300 integrated graphics, MSI DrMOS, MSI Circu-pipe cooling, dedicated SidePort memory and four DDR2-1066 memory slots. With the 5-phase PWM and DrMOS, the Platinum edition motherboard supports 140W CPUs. Other noted specs include Power/Reset/Clear CMOS buttons, Gigabit Ethernet, 7.1-channel audio, one eSATA and five SATA ports and VGA, DVI and HDMI ports on the back plate.

The DKA790GX Platinum and DKA790GX will both come with two PCI-Express 2.0 x16 slots with support for CrossfireX, while the entry level KA790GX will be limited to Hybrid CrossFire with a single PCI-Express x16 slot. The SidePort memory will only come with the DKA790GX Platinum motherboard.

These three motherboards will also differentiate by their cooling system, as the DKA790GX Platinum will feature "Flat Circu-Pipe", the DKA790GX will use simple heatpipe cooling, and the KA790GX will be limited to a heatsink cooling.

The MSI DKA790GX Platinum should be in stores soon, while the DKA790GX and the entry level KA790GX will arrive at a later date.
