Updated: Two microATX motherboards

Today is the official launch day of AMD's 785G chipset, and MSI has made sure that it has no less than three different motherboards in its product portfolio. MSI has decided to focus this chipset on microATX, as it has launched two motherboards in this form factor and a single one based on the full ATX form factor.

The full ATX 785G-E65, and microATX 785GM-E65 and 785GM-E51 all feature MSI's Active Phase Switching, Easy OC for non-BIOS overclocking and all three support AMD's AM3 processors. All three also have support for DDR3 memory with four memory slots, although only the full ATX 785G-E65 supports DDR3-1600 and microATX are limited to DDR3-1333.

All of the newly announced motherboards are also the same when it comes to having a single PCI-Express x16 slot, single PCI-Express x1 slot and two plain PCI slots, except for the full ATX one which also has additional two PCI-Express x1 slots.

Other specs are also the same and all of them come with Hybrid CrossFire support, Radeon HD 4200 integrated graphics, one eSATA and five SATA 3.0 ports, Gigabit Ethernet, 7.1-channel audio and DVI, D-Sub and HDMI outputs.

Another significant difference is that 785G-E65 and 785GM-E65 both come with 128MB of DDR3 SidePort memory while the low end microATX 785GM-E51 is left without any.

All three new motherboards should start to appear in retail/e-tail pretty soon.

Update: All three motherboards have appeared on our price search engine, but only the cheapest one, 785GM-E51, is currently priced with a lowest price tag set at €64,33. You can find them here.
