3.0GHz in Q3

AMD's commercial, business desktop roadmap is getting some new products. After more than a year with original, not so successful Phenom K10 65nm, AMD is getting ready to release a new K10.5 45nm based Phenom II business generation. The K10 based Agena Phenom "one" sort of failed to conquer the business world.

The new business line will launch in Q3 2009 and the fastest of them will be Phenom II X4 B95. This CPU will be based on 45nm Deneb K10.5 45nm core and it will run at 3.0GHz. It comes with 4x512KB L2 cache and 6MB L3 cache and it should meet the 95W TDP. The launch schedule is the current plan, and we hope it won’t slip further, Q3 should be the day.

AMD had to wait until it can get to 95W TDP with its 3.0GHz Quad core part before it decided to go for the business customers, as these guys don't really want CPUs over 95W.

AMD's Business line of CPUs will also get some triple and dual-cores, scheduled to launch in Q3 2009.
