AMD has shown off its latest Interlagos processor at a press event in Germany.

The massive 16-core server processor is based on the Bulldozer core and AMD displayed a two-socket system with a total of 32 cores. This is the first time AMD publically displayed a working Interlagos system and vendors seem to be rather interested in the new architecture.

However, AMD reps did not wish to disclose any specifics to the Inq, so we can only speculate on clocks, cache sizes and power consumption. Bulldozer is on track for a Q3 launch but we still don’t have any reliable launch schedules.

You can check out a photo of the 32-core beast here.
