According to details provided by Samsung, the T7 Shield uses USB 3.2 Gen2 standard, and its read and write sequential performance peaks at 1,050MB/s for read and 1,000MB/s for write, making it 9.5 times faster than external HDDs, and twice as fast as its predecessor, the Samsung T5.
The Samsung T7 Shield will be available in 1TB and 2TB versions, and beige, black, and blue color options. The price is set at $159.99 for the 1TB and $289.99 for the 2TB version. Currently, the Samsung T7 Shield 1TB is available at Amazon.com for $134.99, while the 2TB version is selling at $239.99.
