Precision Boost 2 works on X370 boards

AMD has released a video which talks about its latest technologies introduced with the recently launched Ryzen 2000 series CPUs, the eXtended Frequency Range 2 (XFR2) and the Precision Boost 2 technologies.

Not worth doing

One of AMD's recently released Ryzen 2000 series CPUs, codename Pinnacle Ridge, has had its top taken off by Der8auer showing that these are still soldered to the IHS and that such a process is simply not worth doing due to small temperature differences.

Higher-clock and higher scores

Both the upcoming Ryzen 5 2600X and the Ryzen 7 2700X have been spotted in the Geekbench database, revealing most of the details about these two upcoming Ryzen 2000 series CPUs based on 12nm Zen+ CPU architecture.

The lineup includes four SKUs, ranging from $199 to $369

Following a recent leak where we saw some of the first Ryzen 2000 CPU benchmarks -  codenamed Pinnacle Ridge - we now have the full set of slides which show the launch lineup, scheduled for April, as well as more performance and feature details for both CPUs and the new X470 chipset.

Although AMD's next-generation 12nm Ryzen 2000 series desktop CPUs won't be coming before April, it does not mean that there won't be a few leaks and the latest one reveals a few more details regarding the Ryzen 5 2600 CPU which was spotted in the Geekbench database.
