Powercolor has now officially unveiled its fully-custom Radeon RX 480 graphics card that will bear the mark of its Devil series, the Powercolor Red Devil RX 480.

While AMD Radeon RX 480 has been selling for quite some time, we are yet to see some of the first custom versions and although there should be plenty of them soon, we now have more details regarding XFX's own Double Dissipation version which will feature a custom PCB, hefty factory-overclock and dual-slot, dual-fan cooler.

Highend Vega GPU coming in 2017

Adds support Doom Vulkan API and fix a single issue

AMD has released its new Radeon Software 16.7.2 drivers which add support for Vulkan API in Bethesda's Doom game as well as fixing problems with Restore Factory Defaults in Radeon Settings.

Adjusts power distribution between PCIe connector and slot

Custom PCB and triple-fan cooler

Powercolor's custom Radeon RX 480 has been rumored for a while and today we have a detailed picture which shows the new Devil in all its glory.

With a simple BIOS flash

It appears that some reference retail/e-tail Radeon RX 480 4GB graphics cards are actually shipping with 8GB of VRAM that can be unlocked using a simple BIOS flash.

Final clocks to be confirmed 

Sapphire's Radeon RX 480 Nitro+ OC is the first Radeon RX 480 graphics card that has been pictured in full details, showing the fully custom PCB, dual-slot cooler and a few neat features, like LED lights.

March 2017 launch possible

Vega 10 is the successor to Polaris and if all goes well you will see the world’s first HBM 2.0 based GPU from the house of AMD – RTG in the first part of 1H 2016, possibly even in Q1 2017. 

Support for RX 480 and some new features 

Following the official launch of the Radeon RX 480 graphics card, AMD has released its new Radeon Software Crimson Edition 16.6.2 Beta drivers, which bring support for the new RX 480 but also adds a few new features, including the new overclocking AMD WattMan utility.
