Sony has admitted to the Seattle Times that it can't outspend Microsoft when it comes to marketing its coming Playstation Move.
The console is competing with the new Kinect linked Xbox and according to Peter Dille, senior vice president of marketing at SCEA Sony only has about a million dollars to spend. He admitted he does not think Sony will ever outspend Microsoft.
Move launches in two days. Since this is ahead of Microsoft's Kinect launch on November 4, it seems that Sony hopes that its time lead will give it an advantage.
Certainly that was one of the reasons Microsoft was able to kill the PS3. That and the fact it was a lot cheaper.
