8Gb (1GB) chips ranging from 10Gbps to 14Gbps
SK Hynix has updated its product lineup listing its own GDDR6 chips as available so hopefully, some it is a big possibility that these will be included in the future graphics cards.
Coming in early 2018
SK Hynix has announced its GDDR6 DRAM chips, advertising them as "the world's fastest" 2x nm 8Gb GDDR6 DRAM on the market.
Industry attempts to close global supply shortages
According to sources within the memory industry, global production of 3D NAND flash memory chips is expected to expand substantially in the second half of 2017, exceeding the output of 2D NAND chips by the fourth quarter of the year.
Seen kicking the tires
SK Hynix is set to make a fresh bid for Toshiba's flash memory chip business, should the Japanese conglomerate offer more of it for sale..
SK Hynix is runner-up in NAND flash next to Samsung
SK Hynix announced on Friday that it will be constructing a new fabrication facility at its factory in Cheongju, South Korea to meet increasing demand for NAND flash components.
SK Hynix has joined Samsung with its ability to deliver LPDDR4 8GB memory for future phones and tablets. Fudzilla expects to see quite a few phones with 8GB or RAM in the high end market next year, but we think that 8GB is pure marketing and unnecessary for most phone tasks.
SK Hynix is going to mass produce 10-nano-range DRAMs next year and says that this will be the world’s second mass-production of 10-nano-range DRAM.
Jumping two places since last year
MediaTek and Nvidia will be the two fastest growing companies in 2016, according to a report prepared by beancounters at IC Insights.
Samsung already has mass production
Chaps from the memory manufacturers that like to talk to Fudzilla have confirmed that 8Gbit GDDR5 memory will hit volume production in the second half of 2016.
