Sony Computer Entertainment America Inc. has announced availability of its limited edition Daxter PSP Entertainment pack.

The new PSP has a more streamlined form factor and a video-out port.

Sony is planning to release more than 140 new games for the PSP this fiscal year. The company claims its April price cut has helped PSP sales, and hopes that it will sieze the momentum with the launch of the new PSP.

In addition to the Daxter PSP pack, Sony will also offer a limited edition Star Wars Battlefront PSP pack. It will include a Ceramic White PSP with a silk screened image of Dart Vader on the back and Star Wars Battlefront: Renegade Squadron, a PSP exclusive title. It will be available on October 9 for $199.

The PSP Core pack, with a Piano Black PSP, is priced at $169.
