Well, it seems like you really can't teach an old dog new tricks, as Krist Novoselic admitted he’s not quite the Rock Band champion. He mentioned how he tried to play their hit song “In Bloom”, that’s featured in the game, but he was fumbling a bit with the controller. (Again...sub.ed.)

However, after he quit trying to master it, a child that happened to sit next to him seemed to manage the game quite well. The funny part is that the kid didn’t even know that the man sitting next to him was a member of the original band he was emulating on screen.

Well, he’ll get a whole year to perfect his skills in the current game, as Harmonix recently announced that we won’t be seeing a new sequel in 2009. Until then, he can occasionally switch to a plastic version of his “native” instrument and hopefully try and beat that pesky kid.
