The late fall of 2009 should be a hot one because Max is back! That is right, the legendary Max Payne will be returning in Max Payne 3 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and the PC platform.

Rockstar is slating Max Payne 3 for a late fall 2009 launch and all indications are that Rockstar Vancouver, who is responsible for the primary development of the third installment in the adventures of Max, are on track to meet that deadline according to the latest reports.

Sources claim that Max Payne 3 will feature many of the classic features that players enjoyed in the two previous releases, but the story is going to move into a new direction for the retired cop who is the virtual star of the game.

No additional specifics have been released on the game itself beyond Rockstar suggesting that they will ship in the late fall of 2009, so it is likely that many will find Max 3 under their tree this holiday season if all goes well.
