Ongoing process to improve the experience

Microsoft
is preparing an update for Windows Home Server to add a trusted certificate so that users are able to access the Windows Home Server away from home, using SSL.

In addition the new update will also add a “Delete All” option, which will allow the user to remove backups. Also modifications and changes have been made to improve the sharing to make it more user friendly and robust.

The reviews of Windows Home Server have been mixed, and so far very few pre-configured solutions have been released. Windows Home Server does show promise and only time will tell if it catches on.
