Dell's Pinetrail Mini 10 shows up in pre-order

Dell's Inspiron Mini 10 Pinetrail netbook has finally appeared on the US Dell site and can be pre-ordered with a price starting at US $299.

In case you missed it, this one features Intel's Atom N450 CPU paired up with NM10 Express chipset with Intel GMA 3150 graphics, 1GB of DDR2 memory, either a 10.1-inch WSVGA 1024x600 or a 10.1-inch 1366x768 display,  and up to 250GB of SATA HDD space.

The battery choice available starts with 3-cell 28WHr, and goes to more powerful 6-cell 56WHr or 6-cell 60WHr Li-Ion battery. The one special feature of this netbook is the optional Broadcom Crystal HD media accelerator card that should be available with all HD configurations with Windows 7, and which should offer smooth HD playback.

It can also be equipped with optional TV tuner and GPS and will be available with Windows 7 Starter edition, XP Home or Ubuntu. The estimated delivery date is currently set for the end of January.
