Ultra-thin based on AMD's Nile platform

Just a few weeks after its official announcement, Acer's 11.6-inch ultra-thin Aspire One 1551 has appeared on Newegg.com with a US $549.99 price tag. Based on AMD's Nile platform, this ultra-thin features AMD Turion II Neo CPU, 4GB of DDR3 memory and most importantly, AMD's ATI Radeon HD 4225 graphics.

The full specs of the Acer Aspire One 1551 include AMD's Turion II Neo K625 dual-core CPU clocked at 1.5GHz, ATI Radeon HD 4225 integrated graphics, 4GB of memory, 11.6-inch 1366x768 LED-backlit screen, 320GB HDD, 802.11bgn WiFi, 1.3M webcam, card reader, HDMI output, and a 6-cell battery which is, according to Acer, enough to drive this 11.6-incher for around five hours.

The entire system runs on Windows 7 Home Premium OS and Newegg.com is carrying it at US $549.99. You can find it here.
