HP to ship 45-48 million notebooks

According to Digitimes, HP expects hefty shipments of 45-48 million notebooks in 2011, which includes WebOS tablets.

The company apparently intends to focus on WebOS tablets, which have already drawn quite some attention. You can find out more about the Topaz and Opal codenamed WebOS tablets here.

It is said that Inventec will commence ODM production and shipments of WebOS tablets in March 2011. Q4 of 2010 saw HP ship more than 10 million notebooks, bringing the total 2010 shipments to more than 39 million.
