Panasonic 32GB SDHC will cost $700

Leads the way with a blazing 20 MB/sec


During CES Panasonic announced a new 32GB SDHC flash memory card, and now they have let more specific details out of the bag. Several days back SanDisk was talking about their new Ultra II 32GB SDHC flash card that will deliver a maximum of 10MB per sec write rate with a 15MB per sec read rate. These performance numbers pale in comparison to the Panasonic RP-SDV32GU1K 32GB SDHC flash memory card, which can deliver an sizzling 20MB per sec in optimal conditions.

The Panasonic RP-SDV32GU1K 32GB SDHC flash memory card is classified as a “Class 6” device, meaning that it has performance of 6MB per sec or over. The RP-SDV32GU1K 32GB SDHC flash memory card achieves its incredible speed by using high-end industrial grade flash memory that offers better performance and offers the ability handle a wider range of temperature ranges than consumer grade products.

Peformance does not come cheap, with the Panasonic RP-SDV32GU1K 32GB SDHC flash memory card checking in with a price tag of $700; which is more than double the cost of the SanDisk Ultra II 32GB SDHC flash memory card.
