iPhone 5 coming in September 2011

Industry sources claim
It has been reported that Apple’s iPhone 5 will ship already in September 2011.

Apparently, Pegatron Technology scored an order of 15 million iPhone 5 handsets from Apple and the time frame is in line with previous rumours and analysts' predictions.

Pegatron refused to comment but sources claim that the company is currently being supplied with components. Furthermore, Pegatron’s Shanghai plant has started hiring workers.

It is said that the iPhone 5 does not have any major upgrades over the current iPhone 4. That's not to say that you shouldn't expect a major price upgrade though.

More here.

Of course it will be this year. They have released an iPhone every year for the past 4 years.

But it is a 5 instead of a 4. People will buy it because of that.

A new feature that is magical and wonderful and no other phone can do, if you tilt the iphone 5 the wrong way it doesn't drop the call, but I hear they put in a quick battery, now you can recharge more times than ever.

It is going to be hard for Apple to release another or two compelling features for a new iPhone. Bigger screen size perhaps. Features checked: screen density, battery life, weight. Incremental features to add: Faster CPU/GPU, more Flash ram. Would love to see Apple dribble in hand gestures or facial gesture using the front camera to assist navigation without physical touch.
