Archos G9 tablets to ship this month

Archos has finally released the final shipping date as well as prices for its G9 tablet lineup. The Archos G9 tablets will be available in two versions, the Archos 101 G9 and the Archos 80 G9, all running on Android 3.2 Honeycomb OS.

The first one that will show up in retail is the Archos 80 8GB, which will feature 1GHz OMAP4 dual-core CPU, an 8-inch 1024x768 touchscreen and 8GB of SSD storage space. The US $299 price Archos 80 G9 8GB should appear in retail/e-tail as of 30th of September while the pre-orders should kick in as of 20th of September.

The rest of the lineup should follow up in October and includes two more Archos 80 G9 models, with either 16GB of SSD or 250GB of HDD space, as well as two Archos 101 G9 models including the 16GB SSD one and the 250GB HDD one as well. The rest of the lineup that should appear in October will feature a faster 1.5GHz dual-core OMAP4 chip.

The Archos 101 features a 10.1-inch 1280x800 touchscreen while the rest of the features like microSD card slot, 802.11bgn WiFi, Bluetooth, front 720p camera, USB and HDMI outputs, will be present on all models.

The price for the rest of the lineup starts at US $329 for the 80 G9 with 16GB SSD (US $369 for the 80 G9 250GB) while the Archos 101 G9 16GB SSD will retail for US $399 (US $469 for the Archos 101 G9 250GB).
