Man attacks wife over Facebook status

Written by Nedim Hadzic

facebook

Did not like his update

A A 36-year-old Texan named Benito Apolinar physically attacked his wife after she did not like his latest status update.

The post in question was related to the anniversary of the death of Apolinar’s mother. Allegedly, he told his wife that she should be the first one to like his status and proceeded to pull her hair and punch her in the face. He is said to have been drunk at the time.

While a bit extreme, it just goes to show how Facebook went from social networking to a social nag network, since too many people simply seem to care a bit too much about all those likes. Even more so, many are ready to stir trouble you for the likes you haven’t liked, and don’t even get us started about sympathy hunters, generosity show-offs and attention whores.

More here.

Glad my FB page is just an empty placeholder with no pictures. I created one to log-on to some websites that give me no other options.
People take FB too seriously. It's just a F-ing website, get over it.

This is the problem with people today. They can't take it anymore, it's a bloody website. Get over it. If people continue to act like this, we will eventually witness Governments legistaling common sense. If that ever happends, we are all finished.

Obviously because it happened on Facebook. That's like asking why World of Warcraft is relevant when Korean parents neglect their baby to death to play WoW.

.

Well, if the guy lived in Topeka Kansas (US blokes) he would not be prosecuted.

They passed a law which refuses to arrest domestic-violence cases. 18 woman have called 911 and couldn't press charges if they wanted too.

Wonder how many of those 18 are still alive.
