Video enhancement card

Asus has announced its new add-on card, branded Splendid HD1, which should, at least according to the press release, increase picture quality for HD content, as well as bring true HDMI with audio and HDCP.

With this add-on card, users will be able to enjoy full 1080P with the help of Asus' Splendid technology. Besides its video enhancement capabilities this card can also enhance color and dynamic contrast of photos. It will also have so-called "Game Mode," which should help in FPS games, making the experience even better.

The card can be put in the Demo mode so users can compare the results and the experience of this card, but it is only available in combination with Asus graphics cards. The price and the availability date is still unknown. It will take a lot of marketing and persuasion to make people even consider getting something like Splendid HD1.
