HTC One X in April for free on contract

Written by Fuad Abazovic

€599 for Tegra 3 32GB phone

Both the new HTC One X and HTC One S are showing up all over Europe for preorders. In retail you will have to spend a saucy €599 for the 32GB HTC One X with Tegra 3, while for Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 based HTC One S with 16GB, 4.3-inch screen will set you back €499.

You can preorder both of these in white or brown gray for HTC One X and metallic gray or black for HTC One S here. Furthermore a few countries including UK and Austrian 3 network already have them up for preorder. The UK version is listed here, while the Austrian is listed here.

The three network in UK promises that they should pop online from the 4th April, or exactly a week from today. Austria’s Three network the offers the bigger 4.7-inch HTC One X with Tegra 3 for free on a 24-month contract where you need to spend €35 a month and get 2,000 minutes in all networks nationwide, plus 2,000 minutes inside 3 network, 1,000 text messages and unlimited internet that slows down to 128K after 4GB of traffic. You even get to watch mobile TV in this €35 contract.

It looks like we should see the first Tegra 3 phones shipping next week and don’t underestimate the 4.3-inch One S based on Qualcomm’s S4 chip, which is quite a performer.
