LG shows off 5-inch 1080p screen

Written by Fudzilla staff

440ppi

LG Display is proudly showing off a 5-inch 1080p display based on AS-IPS technology, but it could be a while before we see it in any phones.

The display boasts a ridiculous pixel density of 440ppi and that’s more than enough for the human eye. LG’s previous flagship display boasted 720p on a 4.5-inch panel, or 329ppi. The new 1080p panel will be released in the second half of the year, but there is still no word on whether LG will stick it into a smartphone anytime soon.

While it might be overkill for humans, hamsters will love it.
