Borderlands 2 to offer Season Pass

Written by David Stellmack

All 4 DLC releases for $30 is no surprise

Gearbox confirms that like most of the other big titles these days, they also will offer a Borderlands 2 Season Pass. News of the Season Pass for Borderlands 2 actually comes as no surprise, as our sources have been telling us for a couple of weeks that this was going to happen (but the price had yet to be decided, which was holding up the announcement).

The Season Pass will cost $30 and will cover the four planned downloadable content packs for the game. Whispers we hear indicate that it will be a $10 savings over purchasing the DLC packs individually, which means that each of the four DLC packs will cost $10 per.

We know that GameStop for certain will be offering it at the time you pick the game up, so you will be able to buy it right then along with the Borderlands 2 strategy guide, should you desire one. It remains unconfirmed, but the Mechromancer DLC that Gearbox has talked about is likely not part of the Season Pass and will be just pre-order bonus content that we expect will be offered for sale separately to those that didn’t pre-order, according to our sources.
