Microsoft Studios

Microsoft has renewed the trademark

Microsoft making a big deal about a trademark renewal? Not Microsoft. Could it be that they are chumming the waters to let us know that Killer Instinct is being primed for a return?

The game, which was developed by Rare, could be ripe for a reboot. The public announcement that was given to PlayXBLA didn’t indicate anything other than they renewed it; but our sources think it is bigger than that.

We will have to see what the future holds, but it could be a very good decision to bring this one back from the long forgotten.

You can find the trademark renewal information here.
