5th gen iPad & 2nd gen iPad Mini coming soon?

Written by David Stellmack

Sources say Apple likely to show them in March

Sources have told us that Apple is putting the finishing touches on its fifth generation iPad and its second generation iPad Mini. Apple is wasting no time in getting this refresh out, as sources tell us that it will show the new updates for the iPad family in March as part of its twice-a-year refresh cycle that the company seems to be locked into.

As for what to expect from the fifth version of the iPad, we can expect it to be lighter and use the latest A6X processor and a smaller Lightening chip; but it will basically have the same design as the third generation model that was released last March. The iPad Mini is basically said to retain the same size, but offer a Retina display and an updated processor. Sources tell us not to expect too much of a radical change for the iPad Mini.

Those waiting for the new iPhone will have to wait till this summer when the company is expected to offer the new iPhones in variety of colors beyond the current black and white models. Sources tell us to expect the announcement for the iPhones to come as early as late May, but not later than the end of June.
