PC BioShock Infinite needs 3 DVDs

Written by David Stellmack

The cost for full-resolution textures

Irrational Games has confirmed that the upcoming DirectX 11 supported release of BioShock Infinite on the PC platform will fully scale to support whatever graphics hardware you throw at it. As a result, if you want to enjoy the game with the full-resolution textures that the developer calls “jaw dropping” detail, then you had better be prepared to install all of the three included DVDs. That translates into 30+ GB of hard disk space for the install.

The game will offer six built-in presets from Very Low to Ultra graphics. The developer says that the game will run on an HD3000 Integrated graphics part that was found in the early generation of Intel CPUs, but if you want to take full advantage you should have a higher end Quad Core processor with 4GB of RAM and a DirectX 11 compatible graphics card with at least 1GB of video card memory.

The PC version of BioShock Infinite will be dropping on retailers March 26th and it will also be released on the same day for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
