Assassin’s Creed 4 to be confirmed

Written by David Stellmack

Will be released October 29th

Ubisoft has officially announced and confirmed the next Assassin’s Creed title, known as Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag. We have the majority of the information together about the title from a number of sources. There seems to be a lot of unknowns.

It will be called “Black Flag,” and the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC, Will U and Next Generation versions for both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox Next are confirmed. The release date for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Wii U version is expected to be October 29th. The PC title will likely release a little after the October 29th release, and then the Next Generation versions of the game are expected to be launch titles offered for both new Next Generation consoles.

The PlayStation 3 version of Black Flag will include an estimated 60 extra minutes of game play, but we don’t know any additional details on the details surrounding this extra content, if it will be available for the PlayStation 4 version, or if it will be released for other platforms later.

As for the specifics of the game itself, it is pirate-themed and the world premiere trailer is expected to arrive at some point later today.
