Interesting Tegra 4 convertible

HP’s new SlateBook x2 convertible tablet is now listed on HP's US website and it is starting to appear in other markets, reports CNET.

The SlateBook x2 is a rather interesting design, with a proper physical keydock and a 10.1-inch 1920x1200 display. The brains behind the operation come from Nvidia. It features a Tegra 4 processor, 2GB or RAM and 16GB of storage.

The doesn’t sound bad for a $480 device, as most manufacturers tend to charge a steep premium for Android tablets with any sort of keyboard.

However, the market for powerful Android convertibles remains limited. There aren’t that many productivity apps on Android and there aren’t that many people looking to buy such devices. On a more positive note, high-end convertibles based on powerful SoCs like the Tegra 4 and Snapdragon 800 could change that.
