Halo 4 GOTY Edition coming in October

Sources tell us that Microsoft is planning the release of a “Game of the Year” edition of Halo 4 that will arrive sometime in October. Microsoft has confirmed the existence of such an edition, but says that additional information will be announced during the Halo Global Championship Finals this Sunday.

Our sources tell us that in their announcement Sunday it is expected that Microsoft will announce the Game of the Year Edition of Halo 4 officially and confirmation that it will include additional DLC content as well as the first season of Spartan Ops content as well as a War Game pass, the Champions DLC bundle, and all of the content that was exclusive to the pre-order and Limited Editions of Halo 4 which might make some who purchased them a little unhappy.

The Halo 4 GOTY edition is expected to retail for $50 according to our sources and from the whispers that we hear it will arrive toward the end of October.
