July Games with Gold offerings confirmed

Written by David Stellmack

Only one for Xbox One this month

Microsoft has confirmed the Games with Gold offerings this month. Unlike last month, Xbox One owners who have a Xbox Live Gold membership will only be getting one title. Xbox 360 owners who are Xbox Live subscribers will get the standard two titles this month.

Xbox One owners who have a Xbox Live Gold membership will be able to download Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition for free starting on July 2nd through the end of the month. Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition was developed by DrinkBox Studios and comes from the company’s ID@Xbox independent developer self-publishing program. It normally retails for $14.99 to purchase.

Xbox 360 owners who have a Xbox Live Gold membership will be able to download Gotham City Impostors starting July 1st to July 15th and then be able to download BattleBlock Theater from July 16th to July 31st. Both titles have been quite popular on the Xbox 360 and they both normally cost $14.99 to purchase, but will be free during these time frames for Xbox Live Gold subscribers.

The reason Microsoft is only offering one title for Xbox One owners who have a Xbox Live subscription as part of the Games with Gold program is unknown. Microsoft added support for Games with Gold on the Xbox One just last month.
