Apple fires 200 Beats staff

Written by Nick Farrell

Not cool enough to work for us

The fruity cargo cult Apple Inc will lay off about 200 people at Beats following its $3 billion acquisition of the headphone and music streaming services outfit.

Apparently, Apple did not think that the staff would be a good fit with the super cool organisation. People who will be cleaning out their desks will be mostly people in Beats human resources as Apple does not need to provide any resources for humans and the Finance department because that just involves shoving money to Ireland.

Basically the firings are all to do with overlap. It seems that executives like Jimmy Iovine and Doctor Dre with strong ties to the recording industry are keeping their old jobs.
