No transfers for beta Destiny characters

Earned items will not make the switch either

Bungie has announced that characters created and played during the Destiny beta will not be transferable into the final game. In addition any items earned will not be transferred into the final game as well.

Well the reason as you might suspect is that the amount of tweaks that Bungie has made would leave some characters “broken” and with all of the adjustments and tuning that they have been making to the game during the beta, there was just no option to resolve the situation.

Bungie wants players to know however that this will be the last time that the developer asks players to part with a character, because starting on September 9th any character you create will be yours to play till if and when you decide to delete that character.

While Bungie never committed to allowing the transfer of character and items earned during the beta, many hoped that it would happen. The bottom line is that we should not be surprised that it didn’t.
